Finding treasured Kauai keepsakes is a must for visitors while vacationing in paradise. Whether you are seeking something for yourself or souvenirs for your friends and family, there are several parts of the island that offer a treasure trove of mementos, many that are locally-made, that will give you a lifetime of precious memories.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Shopping on Kauai: Hanalei<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

On the North Shore, the quaint town of Hanalei has two small shopping centers, Ching Young Village and Hanalei Center. Both have an eclectic mix of shops with products such as antique-style Hawaiiana at Yellowfish Trading Company. You\u2019ll also find a smattering of different stores in the same area including those that have plenty of Hawaii-made products.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Shopping on Kauai:  Princeville<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you venture up the hill to Princeville, you\u2019ll discover its one-and-only shopping village, Princeville Center. Though this spot touts more food than shopping, there are a few places to pick up locally-made items like Island Soap and Candle Works (also located in Kilauea and Koloa).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Shopping on Kauai:  Kilauea<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A little further down the highway is Kilauea where the Historic Kong Lung Market Center has a rewarding mix of products from places like Banana Patch Studio and Aloha Spice Company.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Shopping on Kauai: Kapaa<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Old Kapaa Town is another must-do for shoppers. Here, you can park your car and walk the main drag, finding a few places that have cute products resembling Hawaii. There are also some stores where shoppers can pick up clothes made on-island like Work It Out and a. ell design and atelier.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Shops at Kukuiula in Poipu is a great place to find products, particularly those created by Kauai entrepreneurs. Art galleries even abound in this shopping center with a mix of mediums to suit everyone\u2019s tastes like Halelea Gallery (also in Hanalei) which offers many other products including jewelry and clothes, all made by Hawaii designers. Bath and body products from Kauai with sensual smells are also available at this shopping center at stores like Malie Organics.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

On your way toward Waimea, which also has a few shopping options, make sure to check out Hanapepe, \u201cKauai\u2019s Biggest Little Town.\u201d This is the art Mecca of the island where painters and wood carvers shine.
